About the Practitioner

Jennifer Opachan LMT
WITC 2013-2014

Jen graduated with high honors from the therapeutic massage program at WITC in Rice Lake, WI, in 2014.  There she learned Swedish massage, myofacial release, deep tissue, and trigger point therapy.  Swedish massage offers a nurturing touch that engages the whole person into deeper levels of relaxation all while melting away tension and stress. Myofacial release, deep tissue, and trigger point therapy are more aggressive forms of massage that Jen utilizes during her treatment sessions.  Jen incorporates many different modalities into her massage because she understands the need for relaxation and stress reduction but is very passionate about rehabilitation and pain management.  Fresh out of school Jen was employed at a unique business named Gentry Massage.  Gentry provides massage for a local resort that is rated top ten in the nation.  There she not only was introduced to a level of professionalism that exceeded most expectations, she was exposed to people of all walks of life.  In September of 2014, Jen opened Bodytherapy by Jen in Ladysmith, WI.   By May of 2015 her business had grown considerably so she asked Sandy Prusinski to partner with her and together they expanded into Bodytherapy by Jen and Sandy.  As their business continued to grow, the need for a massage therapy assistant became more evident so in September of 2015, Carrie Opachan join the team.  Jen loves everything about being a massage therapist.  She feels there is no greater reward than when she is able to relieve the pain her clients suffer with.  When she is not in the office, Jen enjoys spending time with her family on their little hobby farm just outside of ladysmith.  There, she and her daughter can usually be found out with the horses while the boys spend their time in the woods getting ready for the different hunting seasons.
